Student Stories
Behind every beautiful arrangement is a personal journey. Meet some of the talented graduates who have taken their Bloom School training and turned it into something extraordinary.
In Their Own Words
Our graduates come from all walks of life, but they share one thing in common — a deep love of flowers and the determination to build something meaningful with that passion.
I enrolled while still working full-time and completed the Fundamentals course in six months. The feedback from my tutor was incredibly detailed, and I felt supported every step of the way. Being able to study in the evenings and on weekends made all the difference. I now run a small studio in Byron Bay and wake up every morning excited to work with flowers.

The Wedding Floral Design program gave me the confidence to take on my first solo wedding last spring. My tutor walked me through everything from the initial client consultation to the final table setting, and the client was overjoyed with the result. Since graduating, I have booked twelve weddings for next season, and I honestly credit Bloom School with changing the trajectory of my career.

What I appreciated most was the honest, constructive feedback. My tutor pushed me to experiment with textures and proportions I would never have tried on my own. There was never any sugar-coating, but the critiques always came with encouragement and clear direction. I have recommended this school to every creative friend I have, and several of them have already enrolled.

I spent fifteen years in accounting before I finally took the leap and signed up for the Fundamentals course. It was the best decision I have ever made. The structured lessons gave me confidence, and the practical assignments helped me build a portfolio while I was still studying. Today I own a flower truck that does markets and private events around Brisbane, and I have never looked back.

I was already doing small arrangements for friends and family when I enrolled in the Event Styling Masterclass. The program took my skills to a completely different level. I learned how to plan large-scale installations, manage client briefs, and price my work properly. Now I handle corporate installations for offices and hotel lobbies across Auckland, and I credit Bloom School with giving me the professional foundation I needed.

The Botanical Illustration program opened a door I did not know existed. I originally enrolled because I wanted to improve my watercolour technique, but the course taught me so much more — composition, scientific accuracy, and how to develop a cohesive body of work. I now sell botanical prints online and at local markets in Perth, and the response has been incredibly warm. This course truly changed the direction of my creative life.
